Biography
Julia KM’s guitar journey began back in 2014. Once a classically trained musician, she later pursued some other goals: to become a cool fingerstyle player. Taking inspiration from the likes of Andy Mckee, Petteri Sariola, Tommy Emmanuel and Alexand Misko, Julia started to create her own masterful works. 3 albums and a bunch of covers later she’s now appreciated everywhere – from the outskirts of Moscow to the west coast of America. Julia has been featured on a famous guitar label Candyrat Records twice – a milestone for every fingerstyle player out there! Some other crown achievements include:
- Two years of Baton Rouge & La Mancha guitars endorsement;
- Performing at the international fingerstyle festival (based in UK);
- Getting support from Luca Stricagnoli, Calum Graham, Acoustic Labs, Tobias Rauscher and other guitar celebrities.
Needless to say, Julia also received spotlight in the gaming community. Her cover of Shadow Fight 2 OST has been shared on the official devs’ page.
Recently Julia has departured from the percussive madness of her earlier works. Now she prefers melodic tunes missed with orchestral, jazzy, ethnic and metalcore touches. Asian mythology also plays huge role in KM’s artistic narrative.
